Healthy Cooking Badge
Claremont Chefs academy offers a Scout program that will focus on healthy cooking. Scouts will create a delicious dish and also use a blender to make Smoothies that they will get to enjoy at the end of class. They will also learn about food safety, kitchen safety, knife skills, and nutrition during the class.

The 1.5 hour program
-Whole Wheat Pizzas and Smoothies
-Learn knife skills by chopping vegetables for the pizzas
$350 for first 10 scouts/ $30 for each additional.
*Does not include the badge
If the troop is not able to meet the minimum requirement, siblings and friends are welcome to join
All events have 2 Chef instructors.
Events with more than 18 Scouts WILL have an additional $75 charge for an extra Chef instructor.
New Cuisine Legacy Badge
2 hour program
To fulfill the badge requirements we offer the following:
1. Make a dish from another country
2. Create a dish from another region of the United States
3. Whip up a dish from another time period
4. Cook a dish that makes a statement
5. Share your dishes on a culinary “tour.”
Make a dish from another country
Choose 1:
-France: Chicken and cheese crepes- girls will make homemade crepe batter with a chicken and cheese filling.
-Switzerland: Cheese Fondue- girls will chop broccoli, green apples, chicken and bread and learn about food from Switzerland.
-Italy: Fresh Pasta and Marinara sauce- girls will roll out fresh pasta and make a Rich Tomato Sauce to go with it.
Create a dish from another region of the United States/ Whip up a dish from another time period: Valerie's Southern Salad
Cook a dish that makes a statement
Desserts
Choose 1:
a. Easy Chocolate Mousse with Fresh Berries
b. French Cream with Strawberries
c. Pumpkin Mousse Parfaits
$400 for first 10 scouts/ $40 for each additional.
