Let's Get Cooking Badge
Claremont Chefs academy offers a Scout program that will focus on healthy cooking. Scouts will create a delicious dish and also use a blender to make Smoothies that they will get to enjoy at the end of class. They will also learn about food safety, kitchen safety, knife skills, and nutrition during the class.

The 1.5 hour program offers this option:
-Whole Wheat Pizzas and Smoothies
$350 for first 10 scouts/ $30 for each additional.
*Does not include the badge
All events have 2 Chef instructors.
Events with more than 18 Scouts WILL have an additional $75 charge for an extra Chef instructor.
Simple Meals Cooking Badge
Our new 2 hour Junior cooking badge fulfills the new requirements.
1. Step up your skills with a pro by working with a chef (and learn how to make a balanced meal of protein, vegetable & starch)
2. Whip up a great breakfast or lunch (creating an egg dish or making an easy weekday or harder weekend meal)
3. Create delicious dessert
4. Make your own meal to share with family and friends(Not completed a CCA)

The troop will choose one recipe from the Savory menu and one from the Dessert menu:
Savory Choose 1:
a. Create-your-own Quiche - girls will make individual quiches, homemade pie dough and filling with cheese and vegetables. This would cover healthy breakfast or lunch. Baby green side salad with dressing to complete the meal.
b. Create-your-own vegetable souffle- girls will chop their own veggies and add to base to make their own souffle. Baby green side salad to complete the meal
c. Chicken and Cheese Crepes (homemade crepes- egg-based) with baby green side salad.
Desserts Choose 1:
a. Easy Chocolate Mousse with Fresh Berries
b. French Cream with Strawberries
c. Pumpkin Mousse Parfaits
These options cover the protein, starch and veg plus the breakfast or lunch and a delicious dessert.
$400 for first 10 scouts/ $40 for each additional.

If the troop is not able to meet the minimum requirement, siblings and friends are welcome to join
